Dear smart people,
I am not one of you. I have been unable to transfer files from my Mac Book Air to my Oculus Quest 2 since I upgraded to Ventura. I have/hade been using android file transfer with Mojave and it worked great. However since about November 2022 I do not get the allow prompt on the quest 2 and the Mac just says android device not found. I am sure someone out there has figured out how to transfer files using Ventura to the Quest 2. I would appreciate any help on how to do this. I'm not that good with all the computer jargon so please bear with me.
thanks

Bogdanw,
I have made the changes you recommended without success. I still get android device not found message. Any other suggestions from you or others to get a file transfer function from Ventura to a Oculus Quest 2?
Thanks

Quest support has given up on me. is anyone out there able to transfer files with IOS Ventura to a quest 2?

Try each separately.

Look through your Oculus 2 when connecting to make sure it's not prompting to allow access.

Try different USB-C cable to rule out physical connection issue.

Under Privacy & Security settings, temporarily set 'Allow accessories to connect' to 'Always'.

Ditch AFT and use OpenMTP. If this works set 'Allow accessories to connect' back to default 'Ask for new accessories' and confirm OpenMTP still works and consider tipping the dev.

For anybody who's struggling with this, here's another suggestions that just worked for me. Check if Do Not Disturb is turned on, and if so, turn it off.

Once I did this, a notification appeared on the headset when I plugged in the USB cable that said something like "USB accessory detected - click here to allow". The notification didn't show up if Do Not Disturb was turned on.
