Have you tried i.TV? It has this functionality (and it's free!).

I like "What's On" the best. It lets you favorite the shows you like and will keep track of when they're on next. I also tried i.TV but I didn't like it as much. It was a little clunky with all the graphics. What's On is easy to navigate, especially when flipping through showtimes.
