i am about to buy 4 GB for RAM for my new MBP 15" LED.
What is a good, but cheap option out there........?

My MBP came with 2 x 1 GB sticks, which are useless now, that i am going to have to throw out...... but what ever....

cheers,

I second Crucial. That's where I generally get my RAM. Good service, easy online selector and just all-around a good experience every time I've dealt with them. I definitely wouldn't suggest Apple's page, though - they charge app. 300% what RAM will cost you anywhere else. It's crazy.

It depends a lot on where you are located. I don't think any of the usual mail order sources deliver to Heaven or to Hell. 😛

But you could try Dell, rumor has it a lot of their customers are in one of those places.

MR Guide to buying RAM

I'm looking to see if there are any cheaper sources of 4Gb for my new MacBook Pro in the UK other than Crucial before I contemplate making an order. Any suggestions? Would the Geil Mac Series ram that's out of stock at Microdirect be any good?
