Where is the best place to buy ram for my new iMac? i want to upgrade it to 4gb the cheapest way but also dont want some crappy ram.

check the customer comments on Newegg. Also, Newegg and Mushkin
are both rated "Platinum Plus" by resellerratings.com.

This won't work in a mac pro. MP's need FBDIMM's. Newegg is still a great retailer, but FBDIMM's will run you about 2x as much as DDR.
