I only have the DISC version of mountain Lion but I need the .app to install it on an unsupported mac. Is there anyway to do this?...

    Thanks!

I am unable to download it on my mac, as Mountian Lion is not supported on it. I am looking to get the .app version, so I can use hackerwayne workaround to install it on older macs.

Well, I can't say exactly "where", but you may have to begin exploring some "alternative sources" other than Apple...

A "DISC" version of Mountain Lion? Lol, Pinocchio! 'never heard of that. Even Lion was not available on DVD but as a download and, for a period of time, on USB keys... When ML was 1st released, it was available as a download too! Today and for $20, ML is yours as a download from here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/os-x-mountain-lion

Details published at MacRumors here: http://www.macrumors.com/2013/10/24/apple-selling-20-os-x-lion-and-mountain-lion-in-online-store/

For those who don't want to fork out that atrocious expense, Google is everybody's friend... But please, don't ask and/or expect torrent links!
