Hi everyone. I am in the market to buy a new laptop and after the frustrations of dealing with a windows, I decided to go back to Apple since every other device is Apple.
I am looking to use it mostly for photo storage and device sync but want the system to run smoothly when multitasking. I have to watch my budget so I wanted to get you opinions first before walking into an Apple store. Am I best off with a MacBook Air or Pro? I don’t need the bells and whistles, just what I mentioned. And what options do you recommend I choose?
Thank you all in advance.

search macbook pro and go by newest. Adorama has $500 off 2016 13 inch pro with touch. 1299 before tax

I use a 2015 Macbook (one of the first released in Australia) when travelling and an iMac in the office. I barely notice a difference in performance between the two for word processing, Filemaker database, photos etc. I take an SSD external drive for extra storage.
Although the Macbook is perceived as over-priced its compactness and light weight are big advantages. I recommend that you consider it.

Thanks all. What gB and processor do you suggest is a must? I know windows laptop was 8gb and 500gb storage. Not sure about Mac?
