Too Easy

if you have an Iphone that was done after 34 weeks of 2011, can not be unlocked.
How to know what week your phone was built?
This can be done looking at the serial number of your iPhone, in Settings> general> information> serial number.
If your serial number starts with XX135XX means that this fact in 2011 week 35, with 1 being the last digit of the year and 35 the number of weeks.
other examples
xx042xx made in 2010 week 42
xx933xx made in 2009 week 33
xx134xx made in 2011 weeks 34 you can not be unlocked.
regards

You revived a very old thread.
Your comment should be that any 3GS manufactured after the 27th week of 2011 cannot be software unlocked (and there is no hardware unlock for 3GS)
These phones can be IMEI unlocked, so they are still able to be unlocked.
