Hi All,

Looking for a program that can display a single line of text on the desktop.

Taking the line from a text file at a time specified interval.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Quicksilver does this, but not automatically...there might be a plugin for it that does it automatically though.

Thank you for your input, although geektool can display whole text files, it is not exactly what i am looking for.

Ideally what i want is a single line of text floating above the desktop, changing at a set interval to display quotes and snippets of text from a basic text file.

Google did not bring any big successes so any new ideas are welcome.

I'm not sure quite why GeekTool doesn't fit your needs, can you give some more information?
Do you want it ON your desktop? or ABOVE it, i.e. floating above other windows?
