I use a Roland SC-8820 synth in my digital music activities, and prior to the current Mac OS I found a software instrument parameter editor called SCEditor (1.2.4) to be very useful. Nice UI, flexible, and productive. But apparently OS 10.6 breaks it. Attempts to contact the developer have not been successful. Does anyone know of a substitute that I might try?
