Howdy, all!

I've been digging through my archives and can't seem to find any stock market "ticker" applications.

My goal is to have something running on the TiBook in my office. Just a background looky-loo—I'm tired of flying appliances.

Any suggestions?

if there was one, it would certainly be using the old APIs so they wouldnt be useful for you.

Some stock market web pages do have an API. The brazilian one does have, from which my dad built a web page dashboard for his own purposes and with only the info he wanted. With that API, might be possible for someone to produce an app. I do not know how to do it for OS9, though.

A web page—that’s a brilliant idea! Thank you, and your dad, too :)
A WORD OF WARNING !!! If the website has higher security like TLS 1.2, Classila won’t access it ! As of now, 90 percent of websites under OS 9 are not accessible due to security SSL.

Micah, what website on OS 9 are you trying to access it ? Again, if it’s not TLS 1.2, then you should be able to access it.
I'm going to make the website myself. I haven't put too much thought into it yet. Depending on how Google's stock market API works, I may just create a static image of the stocks I want to see and meta refresh the page every minute or so. I like to call this type of project "MacGyver-ing."

Cool, under OS 9 ? You using BBEDIT ? I am going to try to inject TLS 1.2 crypto Ancienne according to Kaiser’s instructions. I have CodeWarrior 7.1, toolkits and PowerMachTen. I am hoping to compile this thing on my Pb G4 1Ghz titanium.
