Looking for TB3 extension cable

Only need one about 1-2 feet in length - want to extend the Apple AV adapter so I can put my 2016 MBP in a dock. Are there any known TB3 male/female cable extensions? Thanks!

I don't think Thunderbolt extension cables exist. The cables have active electronic devices built in to the connectors. If you need a longer cable, you must buy a longer cable.

Yep, as I understand it, extensions to usb-c are not allowed in the spec. However, I have had pretty good luck with a Caldigit USB-C Dock. This lets me connects my peripherals 3-4 feet away with a 2m USB-C Thunderbolt cable. Also the price is petty good considering you also get ethernet and audio outs.

I too have a CalDigit Thunderbolt dock. It's a very nice tool. I have two external hard drives connected to the dock via eSATA. My dock doesn't have a video output, but other docks do.
