I've got VLC installed, but im really looking for a video program where I can store video into a folder on my harddrive....and access the video through a program I just drop on my dock. Preferably playlists.
My ultimate goal is to get all my media at easy access from the dock, and make it so I have to o through finder as little as possible. I've got iPhoto doing that for my pictures, iunes for Music...now i just need one for video. I'd use iTunes, except I would rather be able to play most videos and not just those Apple tells me I can.
I also use Miro on my PC, but for some reason, they decided to build it off quicktime in OSX instead of VLC as they did in windows. Therefore OGM files and others are kinda ou of the picture. That and it handles subtitles like **** and its really difficult to use the time bar.
So, any programs out there? Or am I stuck have to manually run my videos like a caveman?
