Just browsing through Newegg's webpage when I saw this deal on G.Skill memory.

This is a great deal as just 1x1GB stick was close to $100. This is $87 PLUS free 3 (guaranteed) day shipping! Two sticks comes to less than $175 shipped!

Just thought I'd help out the notebook users :)

Lifetime warranty

It seems like a good deal, but doesn't seem to come with a warranty... unless you buy one. That worries me a little bit. Most of the RAM available at OWC comes with a lifetime replacement warranty. But maybe at that low price, it is worth the risk. It depends on the quality of the RAM I guess...

Good luck!

Kermit..

If you take look.. the RAM is under a lifetime warranty through G Skill.. newegg it self offers the option extend warranty on all products... but normally just lets you deal with the OEM mfger on major warranty issues. There is a link at the bottom of the product page with warranty issue..

Phungy.. Great DEAL!!

Dang, that's great. I have a stick of this stuff from a while back, and it's worked flawlessly for almost a year now. Good stuff, great price!

Price Is $186.59. Shipped To California

Still a good deal, but you have to pay tax of $12.61 if you reside in CA...

Just Ordered 2 X 1 GB For $146.98 Shipped And Insured

Did a bit of searching and found this Omni Technologies link on Ramseeker.com.
This is the RAM that the infamous Multimedia has always recommended in these forums.
Since it has lifetime warranty, I thought I'd give it a shot. And no Florida sales tax here in Cali. :)

Gotta be the best deal I've seen on MacBook RAM in a long time. I figured prices would have dropped by now. Couple of friends that bought MacBooks back in the fall have been looking for RAM, guess I'll send them that NewEgg link.

Looks like I'll be paying FL tax but still after tax comes to cheaper than Newegg. Never heard of Omni Tech. though and Newegg has been great everytime I purchase from them even when I didn't receive a product due to UPS' fault.

This RAM will work in an intel mini right?

Yes.

I too am a big fan of Newegg, and have ordered many things from them and recommended
them to friends. I will be ordering a 160 GB Hitachi drive from them soon ($134.99).
If I remember correctly, Multimedia was recommending the Omni RAM way
back when the first Macbooks were released, and the price then was $144.00.
So the price has pretty much remained the same for these modules.

Let me know how the Travelstar treats you. I'm tempted to buy it..

I've bought RAM from Omni for my G3 iMac and my PowerBook. Great prices and it has performed flawlessly. Also, they sell on eBay - so do a search on eBay because sometimes you can get it cheaper that way. I recommend them.

Their Optival ram is way cheap $70.99 I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. I've seen reviews that are very positive and some negative reviews. The price almost makes it work jumping on it though. I wonder if the hyper ram is worth the extra cost though.

Yes. I forgot to mention the first one I received was DOA. Shipped it back to newegg and they had another one for me within a few days.

Yes this will work in an Intel Mac mini.

Just a note, I think you'll have to take out one of the RAM chips that's already in there since there are only 2 slots and for most people they're filled with 256MB RAM. (So if you buy a single 1GB stick, you'd only have 1.25GB RAM total.)

EDIT: I just saw in your sig that your Mac mini already has 1GB, so that doesn't apply to you :)

I've had one in my Macbook for about a month, it's great. It's big, fast, and quiet. I got the 160gb one off Newegg. It's a great drive. :)

I got the G.skill ram for my macbook. So far so good!

There are a ton of great reviews for it on newegg, so I figured I would give it a try.

So I just bought my macbook less than a month ago and upgraded my ram to the 2 gigs as soon as I bought it. Anyone interested in the 2 sticks of 512?
