Is their a freeware program that will allow me to convert flv files to avi files in Leopard?Thanks
I'm in the same boat - except I'd be interested in commercial programs as well ...
Two free solutions:
VLC -> http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
FFmpeg -> http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/
Free iSquint - for iTunes
Commercial Visual Hub all formats
If your looking for something to grab youtube videos tubeTV is great.
Thanks for that, I have been wondering how to do that.
It works for any flash movie as well.
VirtualHub is not free, but its excellent.
Try using handbrake it's completly free and can convert any movie file including ripping DVD's.
also don't bother downloading an app to download the flv files of youtube just open the activity window in safari then find the little drop down arrow which says youtube, find the file that is downloading the file will be around 3-15mb depending on length and qaulity, double click on that it will download the flv to your downloads folder.
I don't think visualhub is available any longer.
I found a really neat free video converter, and it converts flash to various formats. It's called Evom
I don't have a option to convert to .avi in Handbrake. What gives?!?!?
