And for reference, no 5s has iOS 6.

5s' can't run iOS 6, and nobody is selling you a 5 just because you hate iOS 7 THAT much.

When Apple decides to put a "must upgrade to iOS 8 to continue using this iDevice" message on your screen, I'l love every minute of it.

Seconded. I can get 400+ for my iPhone 5 (32GB) on Ebay... $250 is less than Apple pays people to buy their phones. Apple quoted mine at $270.

Don't try to mislead people and say you are paying well when you are really paying crap.
