ATT must have pissed them off...

Oh well i have 2 reserved.

Yeah, what's the story with this? I was finally able to go through all of the steps and thought I had it pre-ordered and then realized it's only reserved.

After I get an email, then I can go back and confirm elgibility and all of that crap.

I guess I got a reservation too...just got an email. *While* I was about to order on ATT. I'd rather order with apple though... so reservation it is, I suppose.

Got a reserve confirmation number too.

Just gotta wait for the email likes the earlier guys

At least I have a reserved spot.

Carrier confirmation.

Looks like Apple could process orders faster than the carriers so they are taking orders first and verifying with the carriers second.

even still... why bother when it can be delivered to you?

Because you have to have it shipped to your home address, and you might be working. Also, you may have to wait at home all day for fed-ex as opposed to standing in line for half a day.

It is the usual crash and burn. Got a reservation number but no email. It is like AT&T did not know they needed extra server capacity which is easily purchased. They just choose not to do it!

Still no email here. Another 10 minutes then off to bed for me. This process sucks.

I spent about two hours trying to order 3 phones on a new ATT family plan on the apple store to no avail.. finally gave up and went to AT&T and got everything ordered in minutes without any problem. Hope it ships as quickly! Glad I switched gears when I did, too, because now it's saying that you need to go into the store at Apple to start a new ATT family plan (for me, at least).

I also was wondering about the AppleCare+ situation--that was the main reason why I was so reluctant to order directly from AT&T, since I too couldn't find an option for it. I really hope we'll be able to buy it separately later..
