Looks like Apple is back up and can only reserve now

I got the email for two other reservations I did. It should be coming soon.
I know people are saying just pre-order through AT&T, but I simply don't trust those bastards. I know Apple will do it right and get it to me on time.

It is not going to let you in until you get the 2nd email stating you are ready to complete your order...
I am still waiting on mine, but my brother got his and finished up 5 minutes ago.....
Nope! Apple Store, as in online store, not physical store. They will send u a link then you'll follow the link to the Apple Store to complete your order. Hope that helps. Later
He actually got the email that let him complete the reservation? Not just the email that verified the reservation?

cancel Apple Store reservation?
Can you cancel your reservation order when its 'time' to complete the order. I was able to get through at AT&T (I got my iP4 there last year a day early so i'm not worried about them.) just don't want any issues with the reservation and my AT&T order since there obv. on the same line but i assume since the order hasn't been placed there shouldn't be any issues right?

Yessir, got a ding on the old credit card too....
seems they are only letting as many folks as the att servers can handle through at a time....

just placed my order on Apple's website and all went through just fine. confirmation email came within 5 min. there was no way I was going to place the order through AT&T.
