Of course! When has apple ever done anything for an anniversary? Besides the anniversary Mac (that was a flop) there hasn't been many anniversary models. the 2017 iPhone will be the 7s and the 8 will come in 2018

So you believe one rumor from a source that has been wrong more often than right... as opposed to the dozens of rumors that come from reputable sources...? Ok. I'll buy that apple stock you're selling.

There will be a 2017 year and there will be a new iPhone from Apple this is for sure, your post doesn't make any sense and stop making fake statements

Please re-read what you wrote and ask yourself what doesn't make sense here. I think it's fairly evident. Yes, we all know their will be an all new iPhone release in September 2017. Stating the obvious is irrelevant and understated.

If Apple keep the same old yesteryear heavy bezel design for yet another 12 months I feel they will lose some loyal customers. Folk will try Android, thinking just for a year until the new iPhone comes out....and then realise that Android is great now and become permanent converts. That's the risk Apple will take. Sure the diehards will remain loyal no matter what but people are already skipping the iPhone 7, let alone if there's another boring upgrade 12 months later.

I said it before, and i will say it again - there wont be iPhone 8 next year! gonna be 7s in 2 sizes as usual.

Big chance they'll release another 'anniversary 5.5" phone', aka 'beta phone', to test all or some of the rumors that flouting around, coz they know many people will jump on it... o_O

There will be iPhone 8 for premium line, in addition to iPhone 7s and 7s plus.

Despite being a famously secretive company, these days Apple has to accept it cannot lock down the massive iPhone supply chain. As such leaks flow freely and the latest high profile ones indicate Apple is set to shake up iPhone pricing…

The news comes from two famously reliable sources: Mac Otakara which was the first site to state Apple would remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7(though I was first to predict it in 2014). And KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo who is widely regarded as “the best Apple analyst on the planet”.

Together they complete two halves of an intriguing puzzle: what Apple will do with the iPhone in 2017 - and it is going to cost you.

Triple Upgrade

Filling in its half Mac Otakara says Apple will once again only iterate with its 2017 iPhones and an ‘iPhone 7S’ and ‘iPhone 7S Plus’ will look virtually identical to every iPhone since the iPhone 6 in 2014.

These new phones will add upgraded chipsets, improved cameras and a new red colour option - presumably tied to the (PRODUCT)RED brand - but there’s nothing revolutionary here. It’s more of the same users have experienced since the iPhone 6.

But before you despair, in jumps Kuo who says the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus will only be the base models with an all new ‘iPhone 8’ at the top. This will feature a completely overhauled design with no home button, an OLED display, wireless charging and more.

For the first time in a while I don't care about next year's iPhone. I'm extremely happy with my iphone 7 plus.

If the iPhone 8 costs significantly more than the already expensive Plus models then it will play into Android's hands where AMOLED, wireless charging and modern styling are already the norm...and for less money.

Yes, because in your opinion which is wrong. Many more sources are now validating his post (Mac Rumors), (Forbes), and it seems he was right. Have a nice day.

They'll always come running back. Apple stuff isn't (at least wasn't, who knows now?) about the latest and greatest, it's about having a reliable device and being really good at what it does. It's about the experience, and ecosystem. Things such as iMessage and the App Store and even handoff to a Mac. Remember how long it took for an iPod to get video?

It's not a given that the front panel will stay the same, even if Apple decides to use the same aluminum housing as the 7/7+.

I would not be surprised if Apple altered the front panel to eliminate the Home Button, integrate TouchID into an OLED panel that covers most of the front, and hides the speaker/FaceTime assembly.

I did that this year. I've been using an iPhone since 2008, until this year when I got a Pixel. Android isn't for everybody but if I want a headphone jack it's my only option at this point. Stock Android has come a long way. I'm possibly going to become a permanent convert as you mentioned.

I've had problems with iOS over the years so it's not always reliable. iMessage was the one thing that kept me on iOS this long probably. So very fair point there. But with iOS 10 I didn't like the changes to iMessage, I preferred the simplicity of it in iOS 9 and earlier versions. At this point I'm not missing iMessage at all. I don't have friends who refuse to message me because of green bubbles. And a lot of my friends are using Hangouts, WhatsApp or Telegram now. Since those aren't proprietary messenging clients they can more easily communicate with their work colleagues from any device. So even if I was still using an iPhone, I would still be using multiple messenging apps.
