Surprised the 12 Pro Max only got 1 extra hour compared to the standard 12. I was expecting (hoping) for more...

Don’t forget all of these youtubers doing these battery test will have different results.

Hopefully when it comes to real world use, the 12 pro max battery life will be rock solid.

Good luck getting that in real word. Had the iPhone 12 pro since launch, and having doing a reset the battery life on iOS 14.2 sucks. iOS 14 is just a mess, and I don’t think it’s helping battery on any of these phones. A video loop maybe, but real world I think most people are going to be disappointed.

I doubt that Youtuber is being honest about his 11 PM battery being at 100% health. I have seen 3 other reviews where the 11PM still has better battery life, though not by that much.

they were all on wifi only. I think 5g would have a big impact on battery tho. because I had 12 pro the battery drains significantly fast than my 11 pro max. but the difference was small in this video.

Been using 11PM since launch day. I always leave my iPhone and past phones charging from 10pm-6:15am. I like to wake up for work with 100% battery life. 11PM has given me the best battery life ever. I run my own business. So off charger at 6:15. Get to warehouse at 6:45. Start from 7am-4:15 pm. On my phone (emails, calls, texts, whatsapp, orders, etc) Any phone I can do that with and still be at 50% when I get home its king to me. I have chargers at office/car/house (wireless desktop chargers) so if I need extra I just charge which I never do. So the 12PM will do fine for me. Maybe get home at 50%-60% left. Who knows. I know with bigger phones means bigger battery.

According to Mrwhosetheboss the 11 PM wins hands down against the 12 PM.

It lasted 30 minutes longer. That really is not a huge difference.

I would much rather have the 12 PM with its flat edges, 5G, more RAM, thinner profile, Qualcomm modem, and a touch larger screen. 30 mins difference is a non-issue for my daily usage.

1 hour difference in battery life is not going to make any difference in the real world for either device.

I would highly suggest going for the 12 Pro Max if money is not an issue as it is the superior phone. Better camera system and more RAM will take you a lot further a few years from now.

Yeah highly doubt this would be the case, and even if phone does say 100% health I wouldn’t be sure it really was so as own phone recently went from 100 to 99 then 96 within a month or so, heard of other reporting irregularities as well. Regular 12 pro certainly seems worse than 11 pro so would expect max to follow trend as it also has smaller battery than last gen.

So ultimately these 2 devices have roughly the same battery life going by the variance in the TechChap and Mrwhosetheboss videos.

That is a great win for the A14 given that it is dealing with a significantly smaller battery but I guess the more efficient a Qualcomm modem is also helping greatly.

Seems one cannot go wrong with either phone but I would simply go with the 12 Pro Max at this point if you are getting a new phone.

The iPhone 12 Mini is not for heavy users at all LOL! Comical battery life on that one.
