But that does suck for them. I had that plan a LONG time ago it really was awesome.

As nice as that would be, to get a little extra bandwidth, I highly doubt that would happen.

I'm not quite sure why they would do that... Seems like that is a sure fire way to LOSE customers... but at the same time, maybe those iPhone custies were sucking up their bandwidth too much.

It's the same reason why AT&T no longer offers an unlimited data plan for $19.99 for GoPhone users. Too many people were using the iPhone for that and AT&T was losing money.

Hey all long time lurker just recently took the plunge and joined 😀 Sorry if this has been asked, but is this change only affecting prepaid customers or is it affecting anyone with the cheaper internet plans? I just recently purchased a 2g Iphone from the ebay and was thinking about doing a myfaves flex pay no contract $39 plan with the $20 unlimited internet/ text plan. Have my plans been thwarted lol.

iPhone 2G (on AT&T) - $40 unlimited data/txting
$40 > $31

iPhone 3G/3G S (on AT&T - no 3G w/ TMO) - $50 unlimited data/txting
$50 > $31
