LOOOONG download times

So far I'm 330MB into a 976MB update, been going for an hour. All I want is iTunes 10.5 😡😀

Got 3 OS X updates then I can begin to download iOS5.

I'm generally on 35MB broadband, but given the HUGE number of people downloading, I know the problem is not at my end, doesn't make the wait any more bearable though! 🙁

I just downloaded 191M in 5 minutes... of course it was Safari and the Security Update.

I guess a completely different server; possibly at a different colo.

Yup. The direct links to the iOS downloads are also faster so I'm going the "restore" route.

90mb into 774.4mb after roughly 20mins with 2 hours remaining BUT 4 times already it has failed so I'm not holding my breath 😀

How odd. I'm at about 75% after 2 hours or so. I'm also going through my HTC Evo's wifi hotspot over 3G.
