Ok back from the apple store, at first they said they would just swap it, then they had some other geniuses check it and they said it was normal, they gave me my iPad back, with a big scratch, then they did a replacement, this one has a few lines on the screen when I open it, but I think I'll just deal with it because that's not much of an issue
Wow, sounded like a big headache! But in the end it seems you got a good enough replacement,so good for you.
I don't have high hopes for my chances because I have for all intent and purpose a very good iPad, save the weak home button. Also considering the button works pretty good at this point too...ugh, I'm torn right now. I think need to tame my OCD is what I really need to do.
good idea, i need to also, mine is driving me crazy with those lines right now, another thing is, it has almost 0 bleeding so its good, home button is great, and no dead pixels, i've heard of the line issue and it looks like it is not a big deal, they have a record of me replacing it so i will only take back if it gets worse (and that will be months away even if it starts getting worse now)
it looks a little better then this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JFXDkWcAqA&feature=youtu.be&hd=1
I wouldn't worry too much about that. If everything else is good you should have a keeper, finally.
guys just asking ,cant you check the replacement first? i mean if you're pretty happy with ipad A but want to find a better one so you switch to ipad B and ipad B has worse defects cant you simply get your ipad A back from the store? or once you switched its permanent?
oki=)
i tried doing it to the 2 ipads here, i dont see any lines like the video...
