Anyone live in Los Angeles or familiar with which LTE network would fare better here? Can't decide whether to go with Verizon or AT&T.

Depends on how often you travel and where.

I went with AT&T because of resale value and 3gb data plan. For Verizon to be worth it you need to be in high data plan.

Try this link might help you in your decision.

What 3GB data plan the one that does not exist anymore?

Verizon is the best option unless you have a grandfathered plan.

It's really a tough call because there are so many variables. I have an unlimited AT&T data plan, so I decided to stay with them. But I work in a building where the AT&T 3G is lousy so I got an Verizon 4G LTE MyFi which works great. But that doesn't mean Verizon LTE would be better than AT&T LTE because 1) the congestion I experience with AT&T 3G probably won't apply to AT&T 4G LTE, at least immediately, and 2) My Verizon 4G LTE has an input for an external antenna, which helps considerably.
