Lose AT&T FAN discount if I pre-order through Apple?

I've heard if you pre-order through Apple you lose your AT&T FAN discount. Is this correct? Seems absolutely retarded.

Alright, thanks guys! Some people were telling me to preorder through ATT or ill lose my discount. Id really prefer to order through apple like ive done a couple times before.

Alright, thanks guys! Some people were telling me to preorder through ATT or ill lose my discount.

This was true back int he days of the iPhone 3G, but has long since been fixed.

And even if you lost the discount, you could still call AT&T and have them put it back.

I've pre ordered the 3gs, 4, and 4s via apple.com and never once lost my FAN discount.
