so I have an iPhone 7 on latest iOS.

About a week ago during random times I'll lose control of the phone. I'll unlock it. Then the phone will open an app like twitter.

Twitter opens then it opens a new tweet and starts typing a few words that don't make sense. Then I can use the phone again. It does it with Facebook, MLB app whatever app is on the front screen.

Hard reset will fix it for a few hours. This is over LTE. No wifi.

Phone was recently restored from new. I'm on vacation overseas so it's pretty annoying. Anyone experience this before?

Been an iPhone user since 2007. Never had this problem before.

Another example that happened today. I'm in my mail app scrolling through emails. Then my phone opens an email from Best Buy. Opens the Best Buy app. Adds the first item on the app to the cart. Then the phone frees up and I can use it.

I had this happen with an iPhone 6; I had to have the screen replaced.

Get it to an Apple store when you return.

Good grief. Sounds like a ghost in there....
No idea what could be causing this. And you restored it as new. No jailbreak, no strange apps?
Sounds like a trip to the Apple store is in order....

None. There is no jailbreak for iOS 10.3 anyway.

This is a brand new AppleCare replacement phone I just got the day before my trip. I'm def not going to restore from new again takes way too much time

Sounds like the digitiser that registers your touch is damaged. Definite trip to the Apple shop required I'd say.

I would agree with this. Especially being how random the issues are occurring. OP should have a replacement device based on this issue.
