Havent seen this listed anywhere. And maybe it isn't an iOS8 thing.

But just got the Iphone 6 and restored from backup from my iphone5. I had a lot of documents in iBook like user manuals for electronics, installation manuals for car parts, etc.

I just had to save a pdf in iBooks for the first time today and when I very first opened it, I had all of the documents I would have expected. But within a second or two it seemed to shuffle the documents and eliminated a large number of them. Going from maybe 20 total before down to only 4 or 5 now.

It didnt even keep the pdf I was trying to add from email so I reopened it in iBooks and this time it stayed. I looked under all the options and they are not there anymore. I need to check my ipad when I get home to see if they are still there.

Anyone know anything about this????

Had the same problem, had to go in to iTunes when the phone was connected and check the sync all books box again, they all were restored.

Same!

I had the exact same problem!! It's incredibly infuriating. All the books were there for a couple of seconds. Then poof. They must be in there somewhere, right - there's no ghost in the machine.

However, unlike aggiesrwe03, re-syncing does not work for me since I managed my iBooks files manually and thus they are not on my computer to resync from.

If you or anybody else was able to solve this problem, I would not be able to express my appreciation in words.

I think the same thing happened with IOS7 when first installed - all things like PDF's were gone - had to go back to iTunes and resync.
Real pain.

@CTHarrryH, did you have a copy of all the PDFs on your computer, and that's why re-syncing allowed you to get everything back? Also, did you have highlights, and if so did they come back? Thanks!!

Are you able to have PDFs sync with iBooks? I added s few PDFs on my Mac and they don't appear on my iOS devices.
