Lost all messages and whatsapp after backup / restore

Hi Guys,

I've just received an iPhone 5 as an upgrade.

I backed up my iPhone 4 which was running iOS 6, plugged in the new iPhone5, and then setup from backup.

All my contacts, app, photos have come across - However, none of my messages or whatsapp messages have transfered.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Have you contacted WhatsApp?

I don't think we can help you any further. I'm as puzzled as you why the messages didn't go through.

Perhaps you can try backing up the old phone again.
