Carrier Lost carrier button and settings

Hi all hope you can help, my daughters iPhone 5s stopped working this morning the left corner just says searching, and the carrier button has disappeared it also will not update to the latest iOS version thanks if you can help

Check the SIM card, take it out and give it a clean.

Hi ive tried SIM card I different phone it worked, the carrier button has disappeared completely at the moment but wifi still works

try a hard reset. by holding the home button and the sleep wake until it turns off then turns back on
