Lost colors in Comic Life

All of a sudden I'm not able to get the color wheel to select colors. I see a "hide colors" command in view menu, but no luck finding colors anyplace. Anybody know what happened?

Anyone? I happened to have Word open at the time I seemed to have lost access to color panel. I'm seeing that the color panel i get there appears to be shared-it has the same colors saved in it that I did from Comic Life. Might this have anything to do with it?
