I have two apple computers. One has lost connection to the internet although lights for both on the netgear router are on. Is that a problem with the computer or router. ?
Any ideas how I can solve it please?
I, unfortunately, do not understand technical language but can follow simple instructions.
Thanks

I asked for a simple answer and got one. It worked!!
Better than my internet provider and netgear who just refuse to help with macs.
Thanks a lot

Simplest way to isolate the problem.

Swap the cables from the two computers to the router. Plug (1) in port (2) and (2) into port (1). Restart the two computers. If the same computer has no internet but the other one does, then the computer has the problem. If the problem swaps to the other computer, then the router has a problem. Hope you can follow my instructions and logic.
