I put in a DVD-R into my new macbook pro and tried dragging a .vob file onto the desktop. After about 2min of transferring the data an error message was displayed and the transfer stopped. I checked my desktop and part of the data was on there, so I decided to finish the transfer up later. I took the dvd out and closed the mbp. When I came back that night and after I put the DVD back in, the mpb recognized it as a blank?!?!?!? Any idea what happened? This is very important information.

What happens when you put the DVD in a different computer? Does the other computer recognize the DVD and the data on it?
