Open a finder window. On the sldebar on the left, look where it says Places. The first one should be "Desktop", the second should be your username. Click on your username. Now, in the main window, you should see the Downloads folder. Drag that to the right hand side of your dock.

Lost download folder and document folder from Dock

I read the answer that one should get it back from Home folder...
But I can't find a home folder... I am new to mac (And I love it)
I have MacBook Pro (just bought it)

Please help,

Today I lost the document folder by just trying to move it around the dock.
Are those places fixed an one should not move thing around?

I have been a PC user since 1981... what a difference

Click on the icon "Macintosh HD" on the top right. On the left side of the window that subsequently opens, there should be a list. Under "Places", you will see the home icon with your name next to it. ;) That's your home drive. Congrats on getting a Mac!:apple: I'm a new Mac user too, and I'm telling you, I'm not missing Windows one bit.:D
