Lost iPhone, need text messages. Can SMS messages be recovered from my Mac?

    how do i open open sms.db?

    I have extracted my sms.db to my Mac. Is there a free utility that can open it?

    I don't want a spreadsheet.
    I want to make it look like it is on the iPhone where the texts go back and fourth with the little bubbles around the attachments.

    But to answer your non-programming related question, no, there is no utility that will open your SMS.db file and present it in an iChat-like interface.

    We can recover iPhone messages by extracting from iTunes backup file, and there are many iPhone backup extractor works great! Have a try!

    I have deleted a very important message from my iPhone 6, I will give it a shot.
