I'm changing to a new computer. I lost the key code to Microsoft Office 11. I don't have the disc either. I found my proof of purchase though on amazon. Will Microsoft give me a new key? Just trying to anticipate the cost of an new computer. Thanks.

Same problem awhile ago when replaced the hard disk.

I had registered the software and Microsoft (call center in the Phillipines) gave me a new key. Took about 20 minutes as a supervisor's approval was required.

Is there such a thing as an Office 2011 disc? What they sell at the Apple Store is a box. There's a registration number inside, but no disc.

I bought mine via Amazon and it was electronic only but yeah there was (is?) an option to buy physical media.

OP, call MS, they should help you.

This got me thinking....is there anything like Belarc Advisor for the Mac that will retrieve Microsoft keys for your installed apps? Belarc has saved me a few times when PC customers need a wipe and reinstall of their hard drive and (of course) no longer can find their XP or Vista or Office 2007 media or key.
