Hi everyone. New to the forums here. i just went on a month long vacation and took lots of photos with my iPhone 5. I had iCloud photo library turned on so all photos were synced to iCloud every night. When I returned home i was messing with my iPhone 6+ settings and accidentally turned off iCloud photo library. I thought i can just turn it on again and everything would be ok.

Instead, i got a message im low on iCloud space (5gb) so I went on iCloud.com and deleted all the photos on iCloud so i have space to re-upload the ones that got downloaded to my iphone 6+. Everything was going good and it told me it was updating all my photos. I check an hour later and every vacation photo was gone. On the iPhone 5, 6+ and iCloud.com

The only photos that didnt erased were pics i saved from safari or 9gag. Has anyone had this experience? Can't find a duplicate problem on Google. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If I follow you, you deleted your iCloud Photo Library photos? If that's the case, then I believe you are out of luck. Photo Library doesn't work like Photo Stream used to in that if you delete photos from it, they are deleted everywhere. I don't know any way to recover them other than maybe checking iPhoto on your Mac, but there isn't a good way to get the photos from there into Photo Library just yet.

Yes i deleted the photos off of the icloud but only after when i had icloud photo library turned off. The photos were still on my phone before i went to reactivate iclould photo so they can be re uploaded

You could try contacting apple support. http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

I've heard stories of them being able to restore deleted content on iCloud if you can get to the right support level.

Just be patient with the first level support people who ask you to try troubleshooting steps you may have already done.

Yes, you should contact Apple support, as they have a method that can retrieve previously deleted iCloud photos.

thanks for the replies everyone. i spent a few hours on the phone with apple and a couple of calls later, all they can tell me is its off of the iCloud. its disappointing but what can i do. I'm backing everything up with iPhoto from now on:(
