Lost password to Mac Mail

Hi Guys

Somehow my password is not working for my mac mail. What is the best way to reset this ??

I am on an iBook running 10.4.11

If you forgot your mail password, you can try to find out what it is as follows:

Launch the Keychain Access utility. You can find it in Applications -> Utilities -> Keychain Access.

In the list of Keychains, pick "login". In the list of Categories, pick "Internet" under "Passwords". Look though the list for the name of your mail server, select it, and use File -> Get Info.

Click "Show Password". It will ask you for your login password to verify that you are allowed to see the password, and then show it to you.

The Mail application does not have its own password. Each individual email account has its own password. To reset a password, you would have to check the website of the company that supplies your email service.
