lost sound device

i just noticed that i no longer have a output sound device..is there anyway i can get sound back or do i have to nuke it ? thanks

SMC reset more than likely will resolve the issue. Try plugging in headphones and unplugging as well. If its a no-go, its time to visit a service provider or retail store.
