The trash-can on my desktop is empty, but when I run this:

    Code:
    sudo du -chxd 1 /
    I get this response:

    Code:
    3,4M	/.DocumentRevisions-V100
    896K	/.fseventsd
     63M	/.Spotlight-V100
     [B]21G	/.Trashes[/B]
      0B	/.vol
    10,0G	/Applications
    2,6M	/bin
      0B	/cores
    5,0K	/dev
    1,0K	/home
    4,2G	/Library
    1,0K	/net
      0B	/Network
    4,6G	/private
    1,1M	/sbin
    4,6G	/System
     16M	/Users
    481M	/usr
     44K	/Volumes
     45G	/
     45G	total
What puzzles me is the 21G in /.Trashes... How do I remove those? That's about 1/3 of my total diskspace!

    That's odd....I get
    Code:
     25M	/.DocumentRevisions-V100
    1.6M	/.fseventsd
    145M	/.Spotlight-V100
      0B	/.Trashes
      0B	/.vol
    4.3G	/Applications
    2.3M	/bin
      0B	/cores
    4.5K	/dev
    1.0K	/home
    2.5G	/Library
    1.0K	/net
      0B	/Network
    2.6G	/private
    984K	/sbin
    4.6G	/System
     18G	/Users
    500M	/usr
    4.0K	/Volumes
     33G	/
     33G	total
Unfortunately I have no idea how to clear that space, I would try a restart to see if it clears it up.
