The click is pretty loud. But more bothersome to me was a slight rattle, barely detectable, but there nonetheless, upon tapping the trackpad. It sounded like there was 1/10th of a millimeter of play in the trackpad.

I poked around in my junk drawer and found some 1/2" clear vinyl discs I had bought for some glass shelves I installed in my bathroom. I popped open the back, took out the battery, and placed one disc, directly adjacent to the screw. By chance the thickness of the disc was nearly identical to the screw platform, meaning that adding the disc would merely extend the "platform", and not create any added thickness.

I put it back together and the OCD rattle is gone. And as a bonus, the click is a tiny bit quieter, with no perceptible difference in the travel velocity.

what is with the three square screw at the backside of the trackpad.

is it maybe here possible to change the click.....
