Loud fan

I think my macbook pro is dying. Whether I go on the internet or try to watch a dvd, or whatever I'm doing, the fan kicks on and its really loud.

When I close the program, the fan speed continues to be very fast and loud. When I reboot the laptop, it then again has high fan speed if I use any program.

Do I need a new part and install it myself? Or should I just let apple take care of it?

If it is under warranty and a problem, let Apple take care of it.

I would download and run a Stat widget or app that displays various info about your laptop and also the internal heat of your laptop. If something is running too hot for some reason that could be kicking on the fan. You might want to search these boards for a MBP running hot or similar problems (the nvidia card is a possibility) if you notice anything out of the ordinary (also to see what the proper temp it should be at, I'm not familiar).
