    ... Well, characters actually.

I'm sure we all have our favourite fonts, but I tend to find that there are a few specific characters within a given face that ... I dunno ... kind of encapsulate what I think looks good about that font.

I love the not-quite-closed capital P in Stone Sans. I love the point at the peak of Futura's capital A, and the fact that it rises slightly higher than the all the other uppercase characters; the flick of the serifs on the lowercase m,n and p in Palatino Bold Italic; the lower case j in Gill Sans Light and the uppercase G in Antique Olive Nord.

Am I freak, or does anyone else have the least clue what I'm talking about?

    Cheers!

    Jim

In answer to your two questions – yes, and yes. ;)

Personally, I find Baskerville's lowercase 'g' to be rather lovely.

The uppercase Q in Comic Sans is simply to die for.

You and you fonts need to get a room...
Ok, I'm just kidding. I know exactly what you're talking about. My font lust gets out of hand sometimes and I have to block font-purchasing sites so I don't go on there and stare at fonts with their lines and curves and then get tempted to get my credit card out...
Maybe it's time to get Net Nanny...

i love the Uppercase "Q" in Goudy Old Style.

The way the lower case "a" has that very slight curl in Helvetica Neue Bold, where the lighter varients have a full curl back.

    man, i love typography.
