We bought two, one for my wife, and one for myself. I chose the mini over the 4 because I wanted the lighter weight. (plus, I'm guessing the 5 will be 16:9 ratio)

This is my wife's first iPad. I have the iPad 2.

We both love the minis. So light, nice, and a great display. (Not sure what all the whining is about.... I really don't.)

My wife, who is an avid reader, has always swore that she would never ever, ever, ever, use an e-reader to buy a book.

Well guess who has her first e-book today..........

;)
Even that surprised me.

Pics or you all do not have it!

*I kid. Reminds me of that WMart thread :D*

iPad Mini

FedEx guy showed up! I love it. Going from an iPad 2 and iPhone 5, I still love it. Screen is not as bad a everyone is saying. No, it's not as crisp as my iPhone, but for reading, watching movies, it looks awesome. Speakers sound great too!

My daughter was able to just now walking to the target store and get a 16 white mini iPad

I enjoy my new iPad mini. I really bought it and planned on selling the iPad 3 or returning the mini, but now I don't think I can let either of them go. So the plan is to just keep telling myself I need them both. I guess I'm an iPad fan.

Took mine into work today and couldn't answer enough questions from the excited audience, especially when they got to play with it themselves and hold it and feel it. This is truly a fantastic device.

The resolution of the screen, being the big issue I had when this device was announced, is beyond my hopes - it displays PDFs so clearly and crisply, I thought I'd have to display just a 1/2 page at a time when reading them, but that's not the case with every file I've tried and viewed.

It's gorgeous, it feels wonderful to hold, it's easy to type on both portrait and landscape with both hands.

This device far exceeds my expectations.

I am having a different experience.... I am having a tough time reading academic text on the mini..... Maybe because my text is way smaller?

It's really fuzzy at default size,a dn I have to scroll when the PDF is displayed at a size that makes the font but enough to be "crisp".

I love mine!!! I'll love it even more when I get my case (or at least my temporary case, until the end of the month when my real case gets here) and a skin on it.

I love the weight of it, never experienced retina so I think the screen is awesome. I wish I could find a stylus that responds like a finger responds. I hate finger prints on the screen and dont like the screen protectors.

I know a lot of people think Im taking away from the beauty of the Ipad, but dont like it naked...it feels so fragile.

Maybe it's the texts I tried. I have eBooks that are in PDF format (the one I tried is a Philosophy text), I have scans of texts, and PDF articles; plus I have a PDF of a scan that I clipped and made better (rotated properly, cut the black mark from the margin in the scan, split the double page scan into two pages, etc. - that's the best, of course, of all the PDFs I tried).

All of them displayed beautifully. The PDF viewer I'm currently using is Good Reader, but can't imagine it's the app I'm using.

I love it, after reading all the negative thoughts, I could not be happier to sell my iPad 3!

I concur, this thing is spectacular. I love the weight and size. The screen is not nearly as bad as the drama queens would hav enough believe.

I don't understand the appeal of the Mini. It's like a big iPhone with crappier resolution that doesn't make phone calls. If it were $79.99 I'd totally understand. That seems about right.

I thought the original iPad keynote was especially depressing. I felt badly for Jobs. They've sold the **** outta iPads since then. This one's no different. People gonna love it.

I've got a question for you guys, figured I'd post in here because we all love the device and I'd like some actual feedback.

What kind of recharge time are you guys looking at? I've had mine plugged in for 2 hours and I'm only at 36%. I don't mind getting some slow charges to begin on this new battery because I assume it's better for it, but I'm now thinking a 12w charger is a must. So hard to keep myself from playing with it while it charges.

Love mines just for the weight alone I knew that the screen is not comparable to my iPad3 but hey it does the same thing just at lower resolution. :D

I was even lucky enough to get a white 16 at target for my kid at closing time.

I am using my ipad 3 plug and it very quick, I have not timed it, but about 2times as fast as the 3

I absolutely adore mine. Such a great piece of engineering and technology. People who want the retina need to wake up. If they could make a tiny thin device with one then the iPad 4 would have been ultra thin and paving the way. However it is a bulbous slab. This is a proper tablet, this is everything the iPad should have been. The next gen will be equally as amazing as this, retina or not.

Charge time seems the same, if not faster, than my iPad 2. Haven't noticed any unacceptable long charging times.

Read magazines on my iPad Mini and don't see much difference (from my iPad 2) other than not being able to select 2 page viewing on landscape. But, I wear glasses ;)
