I thought so too but my receipt said return by Dec 9th. I think the Jan return is for online orders only.

That's weird mine don't say that. I will just copy the page online where it says return by jan 7 if I have a problem.

Doesn't matter what the receipts say. The store receipts apparently don't print the holiday schedule as they leave them hard-coded to the normal return cycle.

How do I know? Two managers at my local store confirmed this afternoon when I was there to return an iMac purchased on Nov 1. No issues.

rMini story... very pleased! Originally had an Air but exchanged the day the mini came out. I was very disappointed. The color was pale in comparison. Returned it back for an Air. Ends up our office rolled out iPads a week later and they were Airs. Decided to give a mini one more chance as having two Airs didn't make since and bam...this is the best screen I've seen on an iPad. Color is just as good as my Air side by side. No retention or bleeding, dead pixels, etc. Very happy with the rMini!

Well here's some Canadian love with my 128GB Wifi rMini. I had the Air for a week before switching for the rMini and never looked back.

People like indywillsdad abuse the system and drive up prices for everyone else.

That's nice you think of apple as your own little lending library. Are you aware that your return can't be sold as new and the company is left holding the bag? Oh but I guess since they have 150 bil it doesn't matter (sarcasm)

Why couldn't you just play with the devices at the stores like the rest of the nation and world. That's sickening that a company would take a pretty big hit like that, three or four devices left unsellable new, just cuz some moron takes his iPads back repeatedly. You abuse the system and proudly boast about it openly on Internet. You should be prosecuted for return fraud or abuse.

Others have posted about returning the Rmini six or seven times before getting a suitable one. Sad. Those people should be in prison, no exaggeration and no joke.

First, I did look at the ones in store. They purposely set the brightness on high to make them look better. Lighting in store is set to accentuate their products.
You don't notice things until using them in real world surroundings. I'm not abusing anything. Take it up with Apple if you don't like their exchange and return policy. Every time I've been there I hear their people telling customers if they don't like it or it's not what they want after a few days, bring it back. I wouldn't have returned the first mini if it hadn't looked poor. I think that goes for the others who have returned theirs due to screen issues.

Was repeatidly told in store Jan 7 return is for purchases made during the holiday season.

Back on topic - I like my rMini too.

LOL...there seems to be conspiracy with space gray iPad Airs and rMinis in my case - all three of them had either WiFi or speaker issues. Not so with my Silver rMini.

Yes, I was supremely frustrated by the Air issues to the point where I thought I wasn't an iPad user, but, yes I am. I loved the original mini saved for the screen, now I am pleased to have one that is kind to my peepers.

I won't make any other comments, but I am enjoying it and that's all that matters.

Ordered a 128gb LTE rmini in white! I already have the air with same spec, It's going to be interesting to see where and how I use the two ipads.. I have a feeling the Air will not be used all that much once i get my rmini.

...

Yup, I am enjoying mine immensely. So nice to read at a normal distance and watching video content is just great.

Will probably enjoy it even more once Apple straightens out iOS7 - once those crashes are gone, I can roll with a little lag.

This seems like the best place to post this, since I didn't want to make a new thread.

I also just got and love my rMini. I had an iPad 3 before, and love the smaller size. I was so scared to open it after reading thread after thread about screen issues and color issues and this and that, but I honestly can't see a single problem with the screen. Maybe it's because I'm not turning all the lights off and inspecting it pixel by pixel ;P I think it's pretty stunning, and I'm really happy to be on the smaller iPad now. The color range seems fine to me as well. Maybe I need to work on my complaining skills ;P

Awesome - what color did you get?

White 32GB. I can't tell if I just got a lucky perfect one, or if I'd post a picture of it here and 1000s of people would scream to return it because it's bleeding yellow from every orifice. :p:D I think it's really just a really insane mindset that some people seem to have here ;P

I too got lucky with my first rMini - it has a perfect screen. However... my first 3 iPad Airs had yellow screens and I've seen rMinis on display in the Apple store with yellowing on the bottom. It is a problem that does exist.

Cool device!

iPad mini Retina 64GB Wi-Fi, Space gray (blah, blah… the darker version). Bought from Apple online Store (Poland) on 08-Dec-2013, received today. It's my the 1st tablet device :)

Update:
Shitful device, terrible functionality and terrible design. Period.

I got a yellow one on my first try too. Second was fine. Perfect? No. But close enough.

getting so much use out of rMini, I opted for 32GB after I felt 16 was simply not enough on the iPad 2...Now I am wishing I had 64GB!

Quite interesting to me to see in some posts the other equipment listed to go along with your praised minis.
I'm in that group also, Just sold off my 1st mini to get the rMini. It partners well with my retina macbook pro.

Loving my rmini...had an iPad air and barely used it because every time I will reach for it I would just get my MacBook Air instead. I realized the mini is the perfect middle ground for me. N

I bought my Retina Mini on Sunday and I have to say that this has been the best purchase that I have made this year besides my 5S.

I have not touched my Nexus 7 since buying this. The display on the Mini is just too perfect and it's my best friend! :D:)
