I think the technology behind Animoji is interesting, but the whole idea of actually using it doesn't appeal to me at this point. I think this is Apple's way of demoing this technology and how It will continue to expand.

That's my feelings exactly. I will absolutely play with it. I'm very excited about the technology behind it. But it will be something I play with for 10 minutes, then anytime someone wants to see my fancy new phone. It won't be used on a regular basis. I don't even fool with most of the capabilities in iMessage today. But that doesn't mean I'm not excited to play with it. Even if just for a short period of time. It just means I'm not going to be sending the stupid things out past a test or two.
