Loving and hating Notifications

Don't get me wrong. I love my Apple Watch. It's great for notifications, but I've noticed that certain apps that I have set to notify me via the watch aren't working.

I will have the notification on the watch in Notification Center but i don't get the taptic notification that pops up on the watch.

Anyone else experiencing this? It it a matter of settings that I've missed?

Also, this still happens when I am not using the iPhone. Phone is in my pocket the whole day usually.

So I was having the same issue with the ESPN app. I had notifications turned on in the phone but not sounds enabled. After enabling the sounds option under the normal notifications (not in the watch app) I now get taptic and sounds on the espn watch app.

Not sure if that was exactly what fixed it but might be worth a try.
