I'm about to make the switch. However, I would like to spend as little as possible, so I'm considering the cheapest model iMac sold in the retail stores now (this one: http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MB323LL/A?mco=NzMyNjMy ). Before I get it, I'd like make sure it will do the things I need it to do.

    1. Play World of warcraft. Priorities, man!
    2. Run Micrsoft Visual Studio 2005 & 2008 from XP in Parallels. Yep, my full time job is working for the man as a .net developer.
    3. Play with the iPhone sdk.
    4. Maybe delve into further programming for the Mac platform.
    5. Photoshop & dreamweaver.

    That's it!

Any advice would be much appreciated as I am really in the dark when it comes to Macs.

    Wait for the update.

    1. Very yes.
    2. Hmm... Boot Camp will ALWAYS provide the best performance.
    3. If you get accepted...
    4. I don't see why not.
    5. What about them? :p Maybe not the hardest hitting stuff, but yes.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I am already accepted. I registered when they first announced the sdk. I just went to the site and was able to login and it took me me to the iphone dev center. Does this mean I'm accepted or is there more to it than that?

    Thanks!
