This is a photo I took a few nights ago, and when I took it to the Genius Bar, they told me this is working as intended. It used to never be this bad on older iPhones but I shrugged it off.

Where someone was able to get his iPhone X replaced because of the flare.

Can someone validate his (my) claims that these photos are unacceptable and a replacement should be granted? That or we are in the wrong and this is perfectly fine.

This is not that uncommon but also make sure your lens cover does not have oil from your hands on it. If it still does it, maybe take to the Apple store and see what they say.

I've had this happen if the lens is dirty or has smudges on it. A quick wipe with a lens cleaner and this should resolve itself.
