I have a vanilla Macbook Pro (Mid-2007) which I just recently bought. I benchmarked it under windows, using pcpitstop.com and it told me I had low memory and video card perfomance.

I wouldn't worry about it if it was something like 90% compared to a similarly stocked laptop, but it says I'm getting 45% video perfomance, and 41% memory performance!

I remember getting similar results with geekbench under OS X.

If anyone can give me any suggestions/point me to any guides/tell me it's a bug on their part and they're lying to me, it would be greatly appreciated!

Keep in mind that the 8600m GT in the macbook pro is underclocked and runs below manufacturer ratings for the chip. I doubt that pcpitstop thing is high tech enough to look at the clock speed of your gpu.

which nvidia drivers are you using?
