Just wanted to see if others are having the same experience as I am with low power mode. Latest watchOS, the watch uses more battery on low power mode than without it. When I leave the watch overnight (never wear it to bed) as normal, battery goes down about 10% usually. When I activate low power mode, during that amount of time the watch will lose the same or more. I have been seeing this since watchOS 9 was released so decided to post a thread as the watch was on LPM from 10PM last night until 9AM this morning and went from 73% to 52% during that period. As opposed to that, throughout the day yesterday it was on my wrist from 8AM until 10PM and went from 100% to 73%. So 27% of battery used all day during a period of 14 hours on my wrist, then a loss of 21% while on LMP for 11 hours off-wrist. I am yet to see any benefit to LMP and I've tried utilizing it many times already.

Series 4, works perfectly otherwise, all is well with everything as far as I can tell, it's just this LMP stuff that is weird.

I never use it on the iPhone nowadays. Used to activate it on my XR in case of emergency only.

I don’t use it on my watch (an aging Series 6)—the loss of important safety features is a dealbreaker. Maybe if my watch were about to die and I needed it for something, I don’t know.

I do use it on my phone, however, when connected to cellular and/pr away from home. But I have a 13 mini so 🙂
