Low quality music playback in Music app

Hello,
Since updating to Tahoe the Music playback has been of low quality.
Kinda like over compressed tracks or low quality speakers.

In the last OS this was solved by a simple relaunch. Now it is permanent.

Has anyone experienced this and possibly found a fix?

check Music>settings>playback. everything sounds great here...

I did, one of the replies in this thread suggested to disable "sound check" and "Sound Enhancer" but both were already off on my mac.

is 'high res lossless' on in the same settings window? what are you listening thru (external speakers, mac speakers)? and does youtube (for example) or bandcamp music sound ok..?

Lossless is enabled, yes.
I am listening through external speakers, but it does not as the exact same song sounds clear and correct in YouTube.
(And the Apple music version is purchased via Apple Music)

And it's "solved".
After a few clicks on the "sound check" and "sound enhancer" options and quits and restarts of the Music app, all is back to normal.
